The missing and murdered Indigenous women (MMIW) epidemic affects Indigenous peoples in Canada. Indigenous women are three times more likely than non-Indigenous women to be victims of violence. This customized design was created by Patrick Tenascon of Kitigan Zibi. Patrick has created this original design to commemorate this important issue.
Is designed is a tribute to raise awareness of our missing & murdered women and girls. This unique design has been created by our very own creative team member Patrick Tenascon who is also a member of the Kitigan ZIbi Community.
